I work exclusively with professional women who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, boundary-setting, and similar issues. My clients may also seek support to process difficult decisions and life transitions, such as career or relationship changes. Undergirding all of this, we tend to spend quite a bit of time exploring client identity and perception of self and others in the world (self-esteem, self-compassion, self-awareness).
I have specialized training in the treatment of Anxiety-related issues, Racial Trauma, and ADHD for women.
ADHD Treatment is available beginning January 2025 - sign up for a Consultation below to secure your session time.
My specialty is in treating anxiety-related symptoms. I refer individuals whose primary (most pressing) issues are chronic mental health disorders, and crisis/suicidality. This means that I will recommend you work with a different therapist who specializes in treating your presenting issue if it falls into one of these categories.
Additional requirements are that clients be residents of Virginia, Massachusetts, or Washington State and at least 21 years of age.
The session fee is $220 per session. I typically work with clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. I do not accept insurance, directly — my clients pay for services out of pocket. I do assist clients by taking on the burden of submitting their paperwork for insurance reimbursement, if they are eligible - one less thing to worry about. Most of my clients do use their Out-of-Network insurance benefits.
I do not provide a sliding fee payment structure to new clients. However, this practice donates to organizations that provide mental health support for communities of color, such as Washington Therapy Fund and The Loveland Foundation. If you are interested in financial assistance for counseling services, please reach out to one of the previously mentioned organizations, along with Open Path Collective. (Please use internet search to learn about these organizations.)
